I am checking a material certification to AMS-S-5000. The spec states that the macro etch specimens should bee better than or equal to S-2 R-1 C-2 of ASTM E-381. The ASTM spec does not explain these ratings. Is S-3 better or worse than S-2. Is there a chart that shows these ratings from best to worst? Any help appreciated.
